A Brief History...
The history of McLaughlin's can be traced back to around 1874 when James McLaughlin opened a small hardware store in Ogle Street Armagh.

The business developed and at the turn of the century, his son Senator Thomas McLaughlin joined the family company. It was around this time the firm began importing bottle corks from Spain and supplying bottles to local publicans. An Auctioneering business was started in 1920.

In 1944 T. G. McLaughlin, in turn joined the company. The Catering Supply business was expanded and a very successful Crown Cork manufacturing plant established. In 1970 a furniture manufacturing facility was developed.

To-day, four generations on, Thomas McLaughlin Ltd remains a family operated company and are Ireland's leading supplier of Hotel and Restaurant Equipment.

Employing 130 staff, McLaughlin's are the preferred supplier of the leading companies and institutions in Ireland. We have been closely involved with most major contracts in recent years.

From three offices in Ireland - Dublin, Armagh and Belfast we supply specialist products to a diverse range of clients including:- hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, hospitals and nursing homes, shipping lines, air and railway lines, staff restaurants and fast food outlets.

The company operates through three specialist divisions:-
Consumables
Over 10,000 everyday Catering and Janitorial products are available for immediate delivery. A sales team of 30 Area Managers focus on various market sectors throughout Ireland.
Kitchen Design
The Kitchen Design division provide a total package from Design to Contract management, Staff Training and After-sales service. Our specialist project team are at the forefront in design for the catering industry.
Contract Furniture
The Contract Furniture Division, formerly Barcraft Furniture Ltd., provide specialist Furniture for the Hospitality Industry. We focus on Quality Furniture for :-

• Conference and Banqueting
• Staff Restaurant and Executive Dining
• Bedroom Chairs and Tables
From our 15,000 sq metres of warehousing in Armagh, up to 1,000 orders are despatched on a daily basis. Our Tele-Sales Team provide instant access to product information and ordering. A sophisticated computer system provides full order tracking with customer purchasing history analysis.
